Each home will be equipped with its own thermal solar water heater panel designed to provide about 50% of the home’s hot water needs. The Florida Solar Energy Center will monitor a portion of the homes in the community to determine how much solar energy is being produced and used. Secondary water heating will be provided by an energy efficient and space-saving tankless natural gas water heater installed in each home.
